Drone footage shows explosions and destroyed buildings in Marawi City, where thirteen marines have been killed in fresh gunbattles with Islamist militants who have overrun parts of the southern Philippines city.
The militants have so far withstood more than two weeks air and ground assault by security forces, although the military said they occupy only around 10 percent of the city. The militants use civilian as human shields and mosque and buildings to entrench their positions, making it harder for security force to carry out attack without civilian casualties and hurting religious sensitivities.
