A simple traffic stop turned into a very frightening scene where a woman's 14-year-old son rushes to help his mom from being beaten down by rogue elements of the New Mexico State Police.
A high-speed chase ensues but not before numerous officers beat and break out the windows out of family the mini-van.
The young woman speeds off; then an officer attempts to kill the woman and the children by firing his side arm recklessly into a family minivan full of kids. Now the driver and her son are being held illegally by New Mexico State Police to cover for their actions.
The Taos PD is investigating the officers involved and decison will take place down the line.
